Unlike Kamala, Stormranger doesn't want to end a fight just because the opponent has been subdued; the fight isn't over until the threat is completely eliminated. Did the aliens who gave her the costume way back in issue #5 have truly devious intentions and intend the costume to act as a sleeper agent, waiting for the right time to destroy Ms. Marvel's reputation? Or is Stormranger a culmination of all of Kamala's anger and fear brought to life by Kree technology? Read Full Review
Magnificent Ms. Marvel #10 goes heavy on the action without neglecting the supporting cast. Things are desperate all around -- at the hospital, in the battle between Ms. Marvel and Mr. Hyde, and in the surprising development that springs up to challenge Kamala further. This issue does an excellent job of keeping the cost of heroing front and center in both Kamala's mind and the reader's. Read Full Review

The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #10 is more of what we've been getting in Saladin Ahmed's run with the character. Mister Hyde is a fun villain to have in this issue and gets to throw his weight around for a fun fight. Read Full Review
With some stellar art and an intriguing twist at the end, The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #10 manages to prove worthwhile despite mostly acting as a filler to set up what's coming. Read Full Review
Overall, The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #10 deals with more grounded themes, but focuses too much on her fight with Mr. Hyde to have these emotional moments fully resonate. Read Full Review

Kamala throws down with Mr. Hyde while her supporting cast keeps the dramatics rolling back at the hospital. It's a good brawl with insightful thoughts from the star throughout, and it segues right into a new problem. This is a nice continuation of all the title's plot threads, and it doesn't skimp on action. If it falls short of greatness, it's mainly because it's so thoroughly an "Act 2" in a larger story.
