Marvel Winter Break Special #1 succeeds by knowing exactly what it is and committing to it harder than its predecessor. Videos by ComicBook.comThis new one-shot isnt going to redefine comics or really even break new ground. Its pretty much exactly what youd expect it to be, especially if you picked up this summers Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, Rivals #1. That said, this issue does a solid job of following up on the swimsuit special, sort of continuing the story begun in that first book, if you will, and its actually a lot of fun with a charming story, appearances of fan-favorite character, a couple of cringeworthy jokes, and plenty of great art thanks to the books numerous pinups. Its a good time and well worth a read. Read Full Review

Plot
In this awesome special edition Roxxon "apologizes" for the swimsuit magazine where they used AI to sell images of Marvel heroes (see Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1). This review is for the pinups alone. I'm not going to read the story because I don't like the art. I dunno man it just looks like it's for little kids or something
Pinup #1 - The art here is not great and Rogue looks sick and tired and could have been made a lot more attractive.
Pinup #2 - It looks like a different artist drew the face than the rest of the picture, but at least the image is attractive
Pinup #3 - Nice! I wouldn't want T'Challa looking like this in actual comics, but this is what a pinup is for
Pinup #4 - Awesome! One of my favs. I would give Jenn just a touch more femininity in the face
Pinup #5 - It's a busy picture but the first thing your eye gets drawn to is Betsy's more
Marvel’s “hottest artists” have all skipped anatomy class. Every single pin-up looks like crap.
More juvenile objectification. Ick.
