It's always nice to escape the main Marvel continuity for a little romp in zombie land. Marvel Zombies: Dawn of Decay #1 offers just that with a refreshing change of pace from traditional superhero stories, allowing for a darker and more twisted version of their favorite characters. The fun spin on Marvel Zombies comics sets this comic apart from other Marvel Zombie stories and allows it to breathe. Plot
Rocket Raccoon and Groot are imprisoned in The Raft prison on Planet Earth after being caught trying to steal a "Terror Laser", but it was a mistake, it is actually a "Terrarium Laser", which is used to help seeds grow, it is a technology for improving agriculture.
The Avengers arrive at the Raft prison to free them and end the misunderstanding, Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Ant-Man escort Rocket and Groot to the Quinjet that will take them to Star-Lord.

This was just about the most cookie cutter zombie story I've ever read. Can't say I enjoyed it and won't be picking up the subsequent issues.
Maybe it's OK on its own, but with hordes of vampires in Blood Hunt and hordes of zombiotes in Venom War, I'm past the point of exhaustion with infection-spreading hordes.
