Richard Elson's art is very good and looking at Germain again I really liked how the guy can look so hulking, badass, and intimidating yet have no super powers. Mike Deodato's cover is simply awesome. If nothing else interests you about the book then the cover alone is definitely eye candy. Joe Keatinge is writing a good series and it might not be what you would expect of a Morbius series but giving the book that street level feel is enough leeway for it to stand alone. Read Full Review
While I may be a bit down the middle on this story and the world Morbius has stepped into, I have to say this is an incredibly interesting book. Yeah, it's a bit farther off than what we're used to for a Marvel book, but it's good, and it's a new take on the world of Morbius. The creative team on this book is strong, and it's on my pull list for sure. The only real problem I have with this issue is I'm just not sold on it. I don't really know where it's heading or what this is going to be about. Is this a vigilante book or is it going to be something bigger?Overall, I recommend this issue. Read Full Review

I'm not sure how they are going to go with a continuing story line on this comic. My only guess is that it will take a Punisher or Dare Devil vibe to continue as being out of the main stream events going on. Will it work? We'll see. I like the longer angle when they are able to pull it off. Dare Devil was able to successfully for years with occasional crossovers but The Punisher has had a stale concept for awhile. There hasn't been enough character build up or evolution yet to get me really hooked but I'm willing to give this one at least a third issue. To wrap it up this issue drags on and has little story progression to it. The ending is meant to drive the tension up but with the story moving so slow it doesnt really hit the mark. Its only the second issue of course things could change as the series continues. Read Full Review
As it stands, I cannot recommend this book to you right now. Its slim elements of promise are smothered by an unconvincing script, two-dimensional cast and uninspired art style " the Holy Trinity of 'meh'. Morbius may not feel at home languishing in the shadowy, forgotten corners of the Marvel Universe, but for the time being he definitely deserves to stay there. Read Full Review
