Anyway, I was leaning toward a C+ but instead I’m giving it a B-, due in part to the fondness I will always have for Nova and the New Warriors. It’s good to see the Sphinx and it’s also good to see… well, that would be telling. Like most issues of Nova, it’s a consistently good book that never quite becomes a great book. More and more, I just want someone to come out and say "Here's what Realm of Kings is really about, and this is why you should care". I'm not enthralled by Guardians because of its tie-in status. I'm caught up in the plight of the characters I've been following all these months. With the diminished entertainment value of Nova lately, it doesn't have as much in the way of laurels to rest on. This is a fun issue with a cool teamup with some surprising special guests and an interesting mystery. Unfortunately, it is one of the weaker issues of this series in terms of craft. I'm not sure if it was rushed or what, but neither the writing nor the art had the depth that I've come to expect from this series. Read Full Review

I feel like a would enjoy this issue much more if I had some background information on this Sphinx character. The art is pretty good but I wish we had more time with the other centurions. I do like the little team Nova has going though, with Darkhawk and Reed Richards
