There's a huge setup involving Sam's Sister and her sneaking into Sam's shrine for the dead Nova helmets. This issue really left me with excitement and a different feeling of fulfillment I wasn't expecting " Nova is still going strong as a series, and with this type of storytelling it can only get more trill from here. Nova is blasting off at the speed of light right now. The characters are so rich and full of life and personality, and the writing and stories bolster this stellar cast. This is great comics. Read Full Review
Our heroes receive a much welcomed and mildly quiet reprieve before the storm, and it gives us much appreciated character development. Loveness' character development is stellar and Perez's artwork gives us very thoughtful scenes. Read Full Review
It's a strong blend of styles and story telling that I think I might get in trade. Read Full Review
Another excellent Nova issue as the heroes dip their toe in the waters of love. This is what a duo-team book should look like. Read Full Review
This series has been a nice surprise, and it's been very good so far. Read Full Review
Though not quite up to par with the first three, I enjoyed this issue, which allowed our characters a reprieve from danger (though the next issue is set up for danger here quite well). I enjoyed the dual date scenes with Rich and Sam. I felt like maybe Perez' art wasn't quite as sharp here, but it was a lighthearted issue that was fun to read.
LOVE ISSUE LOL
Sam and Rich have a good date night - not, like, together - before Cancerverse tragedy strikes. Several questionable creator choices made it tough for me to enjoy this book: "What if we draw Sam as a prepubescent 12-year-old for the first time ever?" and "What if we put Rich & Gamora through a bald-faced ripoff of Dan & Laurie's date in Watchmen?" While the book's technical storytelling is decent, those questions suggest an answer to the bigger question of why this title got canceled so quickly.
The Sam Alexander quotient is too high, therefore it's bad in my book!
