MALL MADNESS!
•  How can Patsy be spending this much time with Jubilee and NOT go to the mall?
•  Will they swing by the food court? Catch a movie? Have a fashion montage?
•  Certainly no villains will be there. What would a villain possibly be doing at the mall??

Weird Science - Columbus Comics Corner May 1, 2017

Bits and Pieces:Kate Leth wraps up her series with an emotional ending using Patsy's best friend and antagonists introduced from the start of the title. If you weren't reading the series this issue will finally win you over only to be saddened it's ending. Crossing fingers we get a team up book between Hellcat, Hulk, and Spider-Woman. I'd buy it and I bet others will too with the right promotion. Read Full Review

Even though it has quirky jokes and fierce style thanks to the dialogue of Kate Leth, the facial expressions and costume design of Brittney Williams, and a palette that uses just the right amount of pink from Rachelle Rosenberg, Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat is a comic all about community building through organic friendships. It's great to see characters go from awkward half-strangers or acquaintances from days past, like Tom who was in the Patsy Walker romance comic many moons ago, to friends in arms and finally, in shopping. That's why it's fitting that Hellcat #17 doesn't end in a cliffhanger or final battle, but an overhead shot of friends spending time together. Read Full Review

I gotta admit the She-Hulk references made me shed a tear. But overall a great comic to just read for a few harmless and delightful chuckles. Williams art was a breath of fresh air in a land of realistic art. I really do hope something like this pops up again because it really was a hidden gem.

Patsy and friends get their happily-ever-after mall outing spoiled by a pair of wannabe villains who really just want Patsy's attention. Turns out their Patsy fandom is a cover for a big gay crush on each other and our heroes react, of course, by being super supportive. What an appropriate way to close out the series. The finale brings plenty of heartwarming. Many of the congratulatory goodbye letters filling the last three pages mention PWAH as the correspondents' first comic book. If these folks like Leth & Williams' PWAH, I can only imagine that giving them something like Gillen & McKelvie's Young Avengers will make them lose their damn minds. The "cute, queer-friendly, fun" combination is not as rare as they think and most other example more
