Sep 09, 2026Punisher #8 keeps "Big Guns" moving with a grotesque helping of Deadpool weirdness and Punisher violence. Benjamin Percy continues to make Frank the quiet, increasingly irritated presence opposite Wade's constant commentary, a dynamic that works especially well once Blind Al enters the picture. The arrival of two major weapons pushes the larger story forward, although the central villain remains distant enough that the main conflict still feels like it's waiting to fully ignite. Jose Luis Soares and the art team make up for that with some wonderfully disgusting mini-Deadpools and the kind of brutal violence this crossover demands. Read Full Review

Sep 09, 2026Punisher #8 sends Deadpool into a SHIELD facility to steal a special weapon as a test, and the Punisher comes along for the ride. Benjamin Percy’s script leans almost entirely on Deadpool as an excuse to get Frank a new weapon, which feels like a bait-and-switch if you want a Punisher story. Sep 11, 2026Punisher #8 is a decent read. It has a clear beginning, middle, and end. The art is good, and the story progresses. It’s just a little disappointing that the Punisher doesn’t take up much space in a Punisher book. Percy does a fine job of making Wade a thorn in the side of Frank, but it sours my reading knowing that Wade took over Frank’s book without a fight. It would’ve been fun to keep Wade in the narration, but only to have him cut off Frank or mess with him in another meta way. I just need Frank to show life in his own book. Read Full Review

Plot
The wacky Deadpool/Punisher BIG GUNS crossover continues.
Punisher is captured by Blind Al and Deadpool, discovering they're searching for a mysterious weapon that shoots bullets through history.
Punisher escapes Blind Al in the simplest and most hilarious way, but the Badpools, unleashed by all the injuries and dismemberments, are causing chaos at this S.H.I.E.L.D. base. They've just acquired a very dangerous antique weapon of Frank's.
An excellent second part of this crazy crossover, where not everything is as it seems, this exciting story continues in WADE WILSON: DEADPOOL #9.

You're kinda being forced to read Wade Wilson: Deadpool #8 to be able to enjoy this issue. As a pure Punisher fan, this might feel like a bad joke. Well, it is deadpool right?
Having read the part I, this was actually really solid and good fun. Well hallo Marvel...
Can't wait for some more destruction and brainless fun. -
