    Queen in Black: Hela succeeds because it approaches the event from a fresh angle, using Karnilla's narration to deepen Hela's motivations instead of simply adding another battle to the crossover. Al Ewing continues to demonstrate an impressive command of Marvel's cosmic and Asgardian mythology, weaving new lore into the ongoing event without losing sight of the characters. Combined with Carlos Magno's gorgeous artwork and Espen Grundet Jern's atmospheric colors, the result is one of the strongest Queen in Black tie-ins so far. While the romance at its center could have been given more room to shine and some exposition feels familiar, the issue stands tall as both an entertaining fantasy tale and a meaningful expansion of Hela's place in Marvel lore.     A solid issue that fills in the gaps for readers that have been keeping up with the exploits of Hela. A decent story from Ewing, together with stunning artwork make this an issue that is worth the read for readers keeping up with the story but isn’t required for casual readers. Read Full Review
