The hand wavy fix to the Humanimals was pretty lame but I found the rest of the issue to be solid. The Puzzle Man was a good joke of a villain that adds a goofy yet creative way to mix in puzzles for younger readers to enjoy. But then Slott added weight to his threat level when he started erasing the picture of Bailey's mom I was genuinely devastated.

Does Slott not have a mother? Or does his mother hate him? Spider-boys mother was written like someone who never had one or never understood what a family was. This sounds like something AI would write. The first half of the book is just trash and all the character are written poorly besides Spider-Boy. Also he takes his mom not loving him at all perfectly well... like that isnt how that would work. He really wanted his family back.

TL dr, I assume Slott is a android or AI with how poorly he writes families.

The new villain was pathetic. My only points go to the artistic design of interweaving his puzzles into the story. That was cool. If only he wasnt so pathetic.

Lastly, why keep messing with Bailey. Slo more
