    COMICON - Scott Redmond

    Sep 22, 2022

'Spider-Punk' is a pure example of how comic books are a medium through which we can have a ton of fun while also tackling some of the most prevalent issues, sometimes through the specific lens of superheroes. This is the type of comic book series that would be so easy to suggest as one to get someone into comics because it's easy to follow while also being powerful on every single page. Read Full Review

Spider-Punk #5 finishes the run as well as could be expected with possibly the strongest issue in the series. The issue-long battle is engaging, and the epilogue ends on a hopeful note. It's not a very good comic, but it's a high point compared to every issue that came before it. Read Full Review

A fantastic, banging conclusion to a crazy, quirky series with fun characters and even better art. Story could have used more polish and balance, but when it vibed, it was a really joyful blast. Unsure if we will ever get more, but I am happy with these five issues.

Thought this miniseries was a chore to get through. It's not bad, I just couldn't get invested.

I think I've had my fill of "variant Spidey defeats variant Osborn" stories for the time being.
