Annual #4 does an excellent job of telling a closed story that doesn't need to be a part of a larger plot, but builds small threads that could easily be used to expand the universe in future stories. Read Full Review
As a self contained story this was a pretty fun one that plays to some of what the Empire has been up to in hunting down relics. Seeing Sana before she reconnected with Han is fun but it's not a character piece and is simply an action/adventure situation that has her running between events playing out with Vader and Luke on opposite sides, none of which really comes together in a big way. It's filled with coincidences and fun references and it has a good sense of forward motion to it that keeps it humming right along. While maybe not exactly forgettable it's a good side story that will make you smile and is worth it if you like the characters involved. Read Full Review
One artist's contributions ruin this incredibly fun tale involving Sana, Luke, and Darth Vader. I wish that Marvel had taken the time for one artist to illustrate the entire book, rather than having three different illustrators, with one who is not ready to be published. The issue is worth picking up because the story is incredibly clever and the characters are fun, but one third of the book looks awful. So disappointing! Read Full Review
This Annual is far from essential, but Luke Skywalker fans will enjoy seeing him follow in his father's footsteps. Read Full Review
Nice to have these annual issues have a solid beginning middle and end. Its a great pick up for someone who wants to read a Star Wars story without all the baggage that comes with regular numbered issues. Explores the force surrounding a lightsaber, would've been nice to see all these characters come together for a moment at the end, but still really fun issue.
A fun story that Luke, Sana, and Darth Vader all get wrapped up in, and considering how Star Wars is full of big coincidences like that, it feels perfectly natural. I thought that the plot of the twin lightsabers was a great idea, and I'm very interested in learning more about their previous owner, Darth Atrius.
