Charles Soule tells another fantastic story in his run on Star Wars that is a nice change of pace from the usual action packed stuff you might expect. I won't spoil the ending because yes we do know what ends up happening, it does fill in a little bit of interesting info about how things progressed with Lando between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. There are some fun moments in this and Lando gets to be pretty clear in his loyalty to things and where he stands while Salli gets to put the heat to Rebel leadership a bit. There are a lot of awkward and stilted moments that don't work but trying to apply real-world American justice to this fantasy system is a fool's errand. Which is why it's best to avoid these kinds of stories in books like this. In the end, we get to learn how Lando became a general, which is the main point, and what happened to Lobot in the time after Cloud City. It's all right at best and sometimes that's the best you can hope for. I'm looking forward to getting away from this story for a while. Read Full Review

We can't quite say the entire arc was a failure, as we were given interesting glimpses of the inner workings of the Rebel Alliance, more that this final issue was a definite disappointment. Read Full Review
