A perfect conclusion to this saga with Vader and a long dead Jedi battling, while Aphra is just trying to stay alive. This is fun, cool, and awesome. You've got to check this out! Read Full Review
Doctor Aphra wraps up most things so far here and sets us on a course with where it can go from here. The material with Vader is fun and I like the power that comes from the fight that he has with Rur but in the end Rur just comes across as too much of a pretender and boaster that didn't click well. The arc had a lot of good moments but I particularly like how at the end here everything is different and open to change with Aphra on her own and new adventures to come. That has me curious to see what the art team change will be like and the addition of another writer to work with Kieron as his duties are split just a bit more. Read Full Review
Reading this issue, it seems as though Kieron Gillen and Kev Walker planned it to be a potential series finale if the need arose. There's a certain finality to Gillen's script as Aphra fights to escape the chaotic battle between Darth Vader and Immortal Rur. Read Full Review
This issue gave me the vibe that this was actually going to be the last issue of the series for a little while. It had some finality to it, but the ending assured me that Aphra is not done. There is a decent amount of action. I just hope that Triple 0 and BT won't be gone for too long. They are my favorite part of this series.
Some fun moments. There is one page regarding Black Krrsantan that might justify reading the first Annual issue before this one.
The Vader parts were good. The rest seemed rushed.
