Two issues in and I want all involved with his book on the monthly adventures of young Han Solo. The story is fun, showing Han to be completely inappropriate for the military, but absolutely heroic. The visuals are great, from flashbacks to incredible action sequences. Seriously, Marvel, this team should be on a Star Wars monthly. This is a great book. Read Full Review
The issue might not have had much narrative drive, though the lower stakes felt like a nice relief from the more dramatic stories unfolding in other current Star Wars comics. Read Full Review
There's enough to keep me interested and enjoying the book with what it does but there's enough to leave me frustrated with it and the potential that it could exploit with a different storyline and path through this part of his life. I'm curious to see where else it will go before it ends up dumping him in the infantry as we saw in the film. Read Full Review
Much like Han’s time in the Imperial Academy, this comic only succeeds when it takes to the air. The rest seems to bide its time with Han until it can put him back in a ship. Unfortunately, the filler is so bad I’ve lost any optimism I had for this series. Han is an unlikeable idiot who bears no resemblance to the character you know — by face or personality. More fun in this issue. Han stays loyal to the character, but its obvious why things didn't really work out for him in the Empire.
