Jun 15, 2022Overall Im not as drawn in as Id like to be this issue, compared to the previous ones. Im hoping the curve ball thrown at the end will be something dramatic enough to hook me into the resolution next issue. Clearly it will need to be something special to answer all the questions raised, which is something slow building so far. It has been a long set up for a quick trip to Siancong, and I hope it finishes in a satisfactory way. Read Full Review

Jun 15, 2022Issue #12 is said to be the conclusion of The Marvels and I'm hard-pressed to think that it will wrap up in a satisfying manner. Read Full Review

Well isn't that just the god-damned Busiek-est way to reveal the final plot twist ... I think I'm gonna really like what the author does to Siancong in #12. This one features perfectly acceptable words and art, but I'm holding my rating close to average. #11 might be even worse than #8 when it comes to passive heroes. Our protagonists read a comic that explains the plot, fly off to the next issue, and that's it.
