The creators capture the Muppets' chaotic comedic rhythm while finding clever ways to make Marvel's heroes part of the joke. Chip Zdarsky and Pete Woods deliver an excellent centerpiece, and the shorter stories keep finding new combinations that feel natural, from Wolverine enduring the Electric Mayhem to the Swedish Chef entering Doctor Strange's world. The Muppets need a new home and I’m going to be honest – if Marvel put Zdarsky and Wood on a Muppets Marvel Universe series, I would buy it even if it cost $8.99 a month. This comic is that good. This book was absolutely hilarious. Fozzy and Spidey bonding over their terrible jokes, Emma and Miss Piggy over both being fabulous, and Deadpool and Gonzo over all of the painful things they've done, perfection. I haven't laughed this much while reading a book in a long time. It also has some very endearing moments.
