It's man-made Kaiju vs. real-deal Kaiju vs. Ultraman - on a shifting battlefield of ice and fire, with thousands of lives at stake!
When the smoke clears, will Ultraman be left standing? And if not, will it be because of the Kaiju battle... or the unexpected betrayal of a trusted friend?

But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings

The Trials of Ultraman #5 concludes the second act of Marvel's Ultraman saga, tackling the concept of truth and delivering massive fight scenes worth the cover price. With the final page setting up another story, I hope these creators continue to flesh out their Ultraman saga for as long as they want. Read Full Review

Trials of Ultraman has all the knock-down, drag-out fighting you can want from the kaiju buster and ties together all its dramatic story beats into a nice bow (a bow tied to the present of an impending Volume 3 naturally). Read Full Review

Ultraman and the USP save the day in Iceland, but it's tough to enjoy the win when the conspiracy theorists who just witnessed a kaiju battle first-hand continue to deny the reality of kaiju. Shin works through some heavy family drama. And it all ends with a grim twist. This issue's content is pretty dark stuff, but I think that actually works in the comic's favor. Some realistic consequences and relationship challenges are just the thing to keep the kaiju-fightin' from getting too goofy.
