Uncanny Inhumans #8 is a change of pace to look at Medusa & Johnny's relationship, and it serves as a good fill-in-the-gaps story, giving readers a look at how this relationship came to be. The Inhuman titles look like they are on the verge of exploding into something big, and that's just exciting. Soule, Walker & Curiel are a solid team and I'll be game to read any future issue that has their names on it. Read Full Review
Taking a break from the politicking of recent issues, Charles Soule uses issue #8 to answer the burning question " how did Medusa and the Human Torch get together? Puns aside, this was likely a question that didn't need answered, particularly given the extended page time it takes to do it. Read Full Review
Uncanny Inhumans has been a surprisingly decent book from Marvel, regardless of what the sales say. Charles Soule has done a good job in making this title accessible and easy to get into. His writing has been fun and on point. The art took a step back this issue, but Kev Walker may just need to find his groove with these characters. If you havent already, give Uncanny Inhumans a shot, its worth a read. Read Full Review
I really liked this story. Let me tell you why.
When I found out, that Medusa 'broke up' with Black Bolt and was together with The Human Torch, I lost my mind, I was all over it, I really didnt understand why she would do it, I thought it was just some standard Bullshit.
That changed, when I read this issue.
We've always known Johnny for being the simple minded, jerky, funny kind of guy, and yet, she fell for him. It was magical how it ended up with them being together and how he proved his love towards her. How he convinced her, that they shouldnt just end it.
Amazing issue, amazing!
This was rather better than other recent issues. There was - for once - a coherent story.
A simple love story. I guess.
Maybe I need to drop this like I did All-New
