It's amazing how great of a writer Rick Remender is. His thematic elements and the way he portrays his story is almost inhuman, as if Marvel found a comic writing robot that could spew out perfect scripts at all times. With plotlines and character work coming together that were sewn since back in the first issues, Remender continues to impress and I still don't hesitate in saying that Uncanny X-Force is sure to go down as one of the greatest X-Men Comics of all time, and in fact may go down as one of the greatest comic runs of all time, period. If issue #35 really is the finale of this series as is being rumored then I'm sure these final five issues are going to be quite an intense ride full of action and emotion. This issue was hard to read; probably because I've felt like I have been so invested in these characters from the very start of this series. But being hard to read, doesn't make the issue "bad." I think, if anything, this issue will make you think. It will make you look back at the beginning of Rick Remender's run on the series and feel as though -- as a reader -- you've come full circle with this character. Ultimately, the next moment is what the series has been all about. So what's next? If a comic can make you think in those terms; make you wonder what's next for this story and for these characters, then I think it's done its job. If you haven't read Uncanny X-Force and you happen across this one you should pick up. Then after you've read it, you should go back read the previous issues. They make this issue better than it already is, which is something that's entertaining while setting up more payoffs down the road. You know you have a special comic book when Wolverine and the others don't even appear in the book and it's as good as any other single issue in the series. "Uncanny X-Force" #30 continues to mine and explore deep issues. A supervillain killing spree is actually just a philosophical experiment. There is consequence and emotions do matter. With Rick Remender's writing, readers must pay attention, and maybe might learn a little. This isn't just a battle of good versus evil, but rather a battle to truly define and understand what good and evil mean as concepts as well as actions. Remender views both polarizing schools of thought through grey lenses and thus breaks them down analytically. Even though this issue feels like filler in many ways, it is nice to see the title continuing to interpret the world of superpowered action and its motivations and consequences. Read Full Review
This issue was BRUTAL. Remender writes Daken and Sabretooth as perfect villains and Evan is by far the most intriguing character in the comic. Remender’s exploration of many themes makes Uncanny X-Force one of the greatest comics ever
