This series is almost over, and having been a huge fan of it from the very beginning, I will be sad to see it go. Yet, let it not be said that this issue went out with a bang. I loved that Remender dealt with the "nature vs. nurture" issue in his series, and although he hasn't quite proven yet that nurture can survive, he's come close. It's been an interesting ride and the (almost) final issue definitely will not leave you disappointed. I am a big fan of Phil Noto so seeing his work on this issue was a real pleasure. Like I said, the pacing of this comic was great; even though a lot of things happened in this issue, they were organized and strategic. "Uncanny X-Force" #34 is yet another issue in the series where Remender delivers superhero wow alongside an emotional subtext that buries deep enough to hit the cores of these characters. No one writes a scene full of poignancy amongst costumed people fighting like Remender does. This issue is emotional, meaningful and masterful. An arc this impressive happens only once in every hundred titles or so. This title has permanently changed the way I look at each character to have passed through its pages in the last three years, and it has opened my eyes to a world of emotions I didn't know I could feel about fictional characters. Overall the issue is another huge success and it's only weakness is the fact that I know it's much better for those familiar with other books. In this installment, Remender has completed the long-running Final Execution arc with great success, but there's still one issue left for an aftermath that's sure to tear readers apart and leave them an emotional pulp lying on the ground. Not entirely sure if I'm ready for that, but I'm definitely excited to read Remender's intended conclusion for this incredible series. Read Full Review

This story went on forever. I don't even really remember how it started. And considering how important Evan was supposed to be to the story, he didn't do much in the end. Everybody else around him took care of the bad guys. Evan just got angry a lot, even with the Apocalypse armor on. And the emotional connection between Evan, Wolverine and Daken never hit. Mostly because Daken sucks. He's dead now, hopefully. And his death definitely comes with absolutely no fanfare. Good riddance, Daken. Nobody will miss you. Read Full Review
