Claremont Rising!
This issue stood out a bit more than the last even though it was a pivotal moment in the X-Men lore. Things were just more focused on one narrative here. The ambush from Black Tom Cassidy and Juggernaut we get so see how the New X-Men deal without a leader like Scott or Xavier. The end result is not very good. While they try to remain a group they are unfocused, none more so than Storm as we get a pretty tragic backstory into her childhood with some shockingly relevant issues regarding wars overseas involving Israel. We also get to see how tense the relationships can get with Wolverine constantly so aggressive as well as Scott and Xavier practically cursing at one another from stress. A low point for the team but a highpoint for the writingmore
Best part of this one is the Storm background, coulda done with more of that & less fisticuffs. A few other character moments & a coupla revelations mark this out as an above average issue
