With all the craziness happening and going on I have two questions. The first, who is this baby that they are all trying so hard to protect or kill? I still believe the child is connected to the Summers family, and I really hope its a familiar character and doesnt become just another stock character. The second question is the more theoretical one. Where is Jean Grey and what, if any, role will she play in this storyline? These days, readers and comic book junkies like myself tend to try and solve storylines and the direction of a series. However, this is a rare treat, like DCs Sinestro Corps War, where you need to just sit back and enjoy the ride because its one of those storylines that comic books are all about. Read Full Review
Other than a select few characters like Warpath, I think just about every X-Man has benefited tremendously from Messiah Complex. Cyclops is finally a compelling leader outside of Astonishing X-Men, even as former mentor Xavier is getting dragged through the mud. The Marauders and Acolytes are equally compelling as villains. Yes, that includes that degenerate thief Gambit. And, frankly, I don't think I've ever been as fascinated by Bishop as I am right now. Let's just hope the overall storyline moves a lot faster next week, because I'm growing impatient. Read Full Review
The only thing interesting this issue dealt with Madrox and Layla in the future and it was only a couple pages where their story's purpose finally becomes clear as they meet up with the future, but, technically his past, Bishop, who's a child in the mutant concentration camp. I guess we'll have to wait until the next X-Factor issue before we get any development on that. I'll give this a Check It only because it's a crossover and people might want to see the fallout of Bishop's betrayal, which is negligable at best. Read Full Review
