Overall a great first issue in which we get a great anti-hero or a reluctant hero in the form of Union Jack. Read Full Review
If youre expecting a howling commando type of story, that is not what youre going to get. This is more Deadpool antihero meets Supernatural, but with more blood. Vampires are taking over the Marvel universe is many different Blood Hunt stories right now, and this is a must grab book if youre a sucker (pun intended) for vamps and supes. Read Full Review
Union Jack the Ripper is an early contender for the best of the "Blood Hunt" tie-ins as it delivers a horror comic that could stand on its own but still benefits from playing in Marvel's universe. Read Full Review
It's easy to see that the writing and art team had a lot of fun creating Union Jack The Ripper: Blood Hunt #1. A pretty solid start here. I wasn't expecting much since I've barely read anything about Union Jack and I wasn't the biggest fan of Scott's Titans United books over at DC. However, this was fun. There's some good action all across the book. It's not anything particularly amazing, though Walker's art is pretty cool throughout.
