While this story has some very sad and dark moments, it's not without a ton of humor. Zombie Wolverine has multiple hilarious one liners, while Jane Howlett is quickly becoming my favorite of the bunch. Seeing multiple different ways that Logan's life could have gone in a single comic, all while the story still progresses, was such a fun read! I was not at all ready for it to end, and I cannot wait for the next issue to drop. Read Full Review
This was a fun, joyfully chaotic book, that still manages to wedge a little earned pathos amidst all the blood. Read Full Review
If it was not immediately clear that Weapon X-Men is just Exiles with a new name, Weapon X-Men #2 would confirm it. Read Full Review
"Weapon X-Men" falls flat with a story that feels unnecessary and convoluted. The plot leans heavily into the multiverse concept, which has been overdone and, frankly, wasn't something anyone was clamoring for in another Wolverine tale. The narrative lacks coherence and fails to offer anything new or compelling, leaving readers confused and disinterested.
It feels like the comic is just going through the motions, and I found myself just waiting for it to finish rather than being engaged with the story. If you're looking for a fresh or meaningful addition to Wolverine's saga, "Weapon X-Men" isn't it. This issue is one that could easily be skipped without missing much.
