Butch Guice does some killer work here. The fight scenes look superb, especially the rain soaked roof top confrontation between Wolverine and Bucky. This is a dark looking book and Guice delivers that in spades. His panel layout is top notch, with the page shifting into a slanted, chaotic look when the action picks up. Winter Soldier is good stuff and consistently one of Marvel's better books. Read Full Review

The extremely quick fight scene over two pages between Wolverine and Bucky is yet another example of great work of Guice and Breitweiser as a storm is happening in the background. Add that to the reveal of Daredevil and as he demonstrates his athleticism. Read Full Review

The choice to send Bucky after Daredevil seems an odd one from the Soviet sleeper-soldier's point of view, but it should provide plenty of action for the next issue. Worth a look. Read Full Review

The real tragedy of Winter Soldier right now is that Brubaker seems, in many ways, to view this series as his final love letter to his Marvel days. The inclusion of Daredevil, a character Brubaker shepherded for years, belies an almost wistful air to Bucky's tour of the Marvel Universe's gritty streets, a place Brubaker has spent more time than most in the last decade. While the intent seems clear, the execution seems more and more like the work of someone who sees his time is at an end, and is ready to move on to the next big thing. While the individual issues of Winter Soldier are readable and visually stunning, the mega-story seems to be running out of steam. Read Full Review

Like I said in last issue's review: Natasha's ex's are assembling to save her as Matt Murdock joins the series. Still a tremendous comic but it just tries to do too many things at once
