Honestly, not much difference between them. In the second arc we at least had Wolverine controlling himself. Enemy of the State at times didn't even feel like Wolverine solo series.
They turned him into a pawn. They forced him to betray the only people he's ever trusted. Now, it's time to get even. Everything you've seen till now has just been a warm-up. With the help of an unlikely ally, Wolverine will make sure The Hand, the Dawn of the White Light, and Hydra are never the same again. This is the explosive climax you've been waiting for! This battle royale will not only raise the bar on action… after this, there will be NO BAR.
Anyway, thats kinda nerdy point to bring up in a great story such as "Wolverine: Agent ofSHIELD." If thats the only criticism, Ill be happy to collect these in a TPB to reread the story in one sitting! Maybe, theres hope for Marvel yet Read Full Review
All that said, this issue is a fitting end to what has been an entertaining over-the-top cavalcade of violence and silliness; I feel a bit dirty for enjoying it so much, but Wolverine reprogrammed a Sentinel to squish ninjas. Thats just pure comics gold. Read Full Review
It's cool and all, but... I don't know... Gorgon is such a flat and boring character... He's a very imbalanced dude with oh so many powers, but when he fought Wolverine I didn't feel it like the most epic climax of the whole story. The dude was the main reason Wolverine had to kill so many good people and I didn't quite feel this rage in Logan towards Gorgon... He was just trying to save Nick Fury. Wolverine doesn't feel much guilty in his own head overall... I guess he wouldn't be this way right after being controlled and forced to do evil things. But that's Mark Millar...
I wish Gorgon had more personality, but for some reason Millar never bothered to really go deep into Gorgon's characterization. So his death feels like nothin more
It's finally over, Enemy of the State had some charm, but Agent of Shield tired me.
