The Comicbook Dispatch - Dispatchdcu Jul 2, 2025

Wolverines & Deadpools #1 is exactly the kind of off-the-wall fun youd expect from this title, but with more emotional weight than youd bargain for. Ziglar is clearly having a blast writing these characters, but hes also digging into their legacies in a meaningful way. Whether youre a diehard Deadpool fan, a Laura Kinney devotee, or someone just looking for a chaotic father-daughter adventure with explosions, snikts, and fourth-wall breaksthis is one to watch. I actually hope the daughters get their own regular series team-up book, like the Wolverine and Deadpool, Cable and Deadpool, etc. books of the past. Unfortunately they gave this to Cody Ziglar to f it up. I didn't pay attention to the credit page at first, just started reading it, and a few pages in I was like "ugh, this is reading like a Ziglar book" so I checked and sure enough it was. The art was solid and I like where the plot is going, I just wish they had gotten ANYONE else to write it. The fourth wall quips every other panel, the stupid attempts at humor, Ziglar w more
