X-Force heads to Japan to locate the Vanisher, who now possesses a weapon that could destroy every mutant on the planet!
X-Force has suddenly morphed into quite an enjoyable little series. Issue #8 is only part two of the title's second story arc, and already writers Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost have made the book's characters more interesting and fattened the cast nicely. Hopefully, like Young X-Men last week, this marks the turning point for the series and it just needed a grace period to fine-tune its angle. Read Full Review
Mike Chois art is, simply put, gorgeous. The early scenes of X-23 and Wolverine at a sniper point are paneled very well, having lots going on but without becoming overcrowded. His pencils balance realism with the fantastical, never making the contents of the story either unbelievable or exaggerated. Also, colourist Sonia Oback compliments Chois art perfectly, creating colours that mirror the dark elements of the story and also doesnt make the more extreme characters look overly cartoonish. Characters like Josh Foleys yellow skin is not too bright or strange looking, as is Dominos white skin, which borders on being extremely pale instead of looking like she is covered in chalk. X-Force entertains and frustrates in equal measure. It has interesting ideas and attractive visuals, but really it's making a mess of things from a continuity standpoint. Average at best. Read Full Review
