So let's talk opinions. We are progressing nicely. No wasted time here. All action and no filler. That's what makes this series great so far. The art on Dracula's resurrection was amazing. I like Dracula's new look. A mix of manga and the classic. Jubilee with fangs was great too. (Still miss her earrings though.) How the hell Wolverine, the most aware mutant ever, got suckered by her I have no idea. (Women. They make you do crazy things.) The dialogue given to Dracula is also very cool. I like the exchange between him and Cyclops. (The man has no sense of humor. Stop trying to make him funny.) I also like Dracula's Blade description. Unfortunately, like I said before, the man gets no respect and this issue verifies my belief. Well, I can't wait to see what will happen next. Cyclops has a plan, I'm sure of it. Guys. Guys. Girls. Boys. Boys to Men. Get X-Men #3. Get the other two books. It's worth it. The story is entertaining and the art is stellar. There's only three so far, so now is the time to jump in. It's a Marvel NOW book, so it's an official jumping on point, no extensive knowledge of X-Men required. You now have negative reasons not to read it. You owe me reasons. Read Full Review

I like Paco Medias work here, although his inker Juan Vlasco is too rough on him. He should polish and round the work instead of leaving so many dirty lines that just get in the way. Medina is of course a good storyteller and he knows how to portray characters in a grandiose way. Id like to see him take on Magneto one day. Read Full Review
Still, overall it's an entertaining read, although in order to survive (or at least maintain a respectable sales velocity compared to its brethren) there needs to be a bit more urgency and excitement in its stories. That's the one hook that's missing, and considering how much attention they're lavishing on this initial story, it's a tiny bit worrisome that it hasn't appeared yet. Still, there's time. Issue #3 is more action-oriented than the previous two, with Wolverine bent on slicing vampire heads until he tracks down Jubilee. As usual, it all makes for a decent read, but an unmemorable one too. This new volume of X-Men is sorely lacking a unique identity. It's not enough that Blade and Dracula are hanging around if Gischler is going to continue to highlight the same characters we meet in Uncanny X-Men every month. At least Jubilee's presence provides a bit new ground for Gischler to cover, even if most of that ground is explored from Wolverine's point of view. Paco Medina's art in this series is clean and attractive, but it's debatable whether that sort of style is really the best fit for a vampire tale. Shouldn't their be a bit more grime and shadow in this book? It's hard to fault the creative team for wanting to involve the X-Men more heavily in the Marvel U. again. But if this series doesn't develop a stronger sense of personality soon, I'm going to lose all interest. Read Full Review
I know that I do have a lot of harsh things to say about this issue, but it was definitely an improvement over the last two issues and could easily make it to a Buy It verdict with some tweaks. I think that there is a lot of potential for this series because of Gischler's ability to write the characters with such strong personalities, but it might take an artist shift or, at the very least, a plot that doesn't involve vampires.
