I'm really grateful they made this prelude to the Disney+ series and gave us this extra content after it being so long since we have gotten to see our favorite mutants in action like this. X-Men 97 #3 does an excellent job of continuing the first two comics while giving us knew content to add to the story. I can't wait for the fourth issue! Read Full Review
Though the X-Men '97 comic tie-in mostly stays in its line, functioning so that it never steps on the toes of the animated series and is able to get you excited about that, the latest issue brings in an element that it was missing, mundane familiarity among the mutants. Read Full Review

Plot
This comic takes place nine months before the new animated series X-men '97 on Disney + and just days after the disappearance of Charles Xavier in the final chapter Graduation Day.
Mr. Sinister wants to take advantage of Xavier's fall to eliminate the X-men, for that he creates the Sinister Seven who attack systematically:
-Cyclops, Jean and Beast are attacked by Hazard, who is stopped by the telekinetic powers of Jean, who is not at her maximum power, due to her pregnancy.
-Jubilee, Bishop, Rogue and Gambit are attacked by Siena Blaze who possesses magnetic and teleportation powers, the strange thing is that Bishop is not on the list of registered mutants in the future. Rogue takes away her powers and more
