The decision to go almost entirely with Shen Xorn narrating the events made for a pretty dull read. And when the entire thing is retread of AoA, its even duller. There's an inkling of good ideas (parallels to manifest destiny) to, but come on, a mutant zombie plague? Zombies have been tired for at least a decade now.

I’m not interested in other versions of the X-Men and I don’t want to buy sixteen new titles to get one story that we all know didn’t happen in the end anyway. I want good stories featuring the characters I know and love, but Marvel doesn’t seem to be interested in grounded storytelling anymore.
