The idea is intriguing to me, but I’ve disliked From the Ashes so much that I no longer buy and can’t invest unless I hear this is amazing.

A well thought out action packed opener with a surprising body count, some clever different characterization and plenty of story hooks that while not necessarily wildly original nonetheless does plenty to keep you interested from first to last page. Definitely an overture to a X-Opera worth checking out! Read Full Review
X-Men: Age of Revelation: Overture #1 is an exciting beginning filled with mystery and promising story angles. The action sequences are kinetic and dynamic, and the issue is well drawn. Aside from a strange choice of dialogue in one scene and the lack of follow-up on some broader world-building, the issue is immersive and full of energy, providing an exciting setting for the story to unfold. Perhaps the individual tie-ins may hold some interest, but I see little here to inspire much hope for the future. Read Full Review
Incredible art, incredible writing, love the setting they're building. This is going to be a fun event. Familiar, but most importantly fun.
I liked the art !
Don't like the base team of this book, don't like future/alt reality team of this book. Don't like the writing, don't like the art, hoping we move on from this era quickly.
Just awful. Awful writing, awful art. We don't need a new future version of the X-Men, we need a better present day version.
