In just 8 issues, Zeb Wells has so developed and "fleshed-out" these (mostly) unknown characters that I have a sense of familiarity with them. Their actions and dialog don't seem random or forced (e.g. when Empath turned tail and ran, I thought "F#cking Empath, there he goes again"... as if I've know this character for years). Amazing and Brilliant! Hellions has easily become my #1 X-Book. Keep u more

Damn... Zeb Wells is making me re-adjust my hierarchy of favorite X-Men characters. Psylocke and Havok are already up there, but the rest of the Hellions team are quickly bypassing some of the more classic/traditional X-Men (and I've been reading X-Men since the 80's).

I originally picked up Hellions because of Psylocke and Havok with an "I'll give it a try" attitude, but DAMN - four issues later, and I'm hooked. The art and the story have been consistently on point. Any creative team that can actually make me be interested in 1980's "throwaway" villains like Nanny and Orphan-Maker are masters of their craft. Hats off to Zeb Wells, Stephen Segovia, and crew.
