I'm really excited to see that the second installment of Psylocke was just as good as the first one, if not even better. Psylocke is such an underrated character so I was really looking forward to her run, and I say that Alyssa Wong is absolutely nailing it. Read Full Review
Carratu delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are vibrant and the action is thrilling in its imagery. Read Full Review
Psylocke #2 is another solid entry in the series that puts the psychically-bladed mutant on the hunt for mutant child traffickers. Alyssa Wong's script nails the major plot points and pacing for a relatively satisfying read, and the art team's visual delivery looks great. This issue won't win any awards, but it's one of the better solo titles coming out of the X-Office. Read Full Review
Psylocke #2 is exactly what was expected from a series starring Kwannon. Alyssa Wong and Vincenzo Carratu lean into how Psylocke is able to use her powers and abilities to take a super spy approach to her mission. Read Full Review
Psylocke #2 delivers thrilling moments and stellar visuals, particularly during its intense climax, but its slower midsection and one-shot structure hinder narrative cohesion, leaving readers intrigued but slightly unfulfilled. Read Full Review
I feel similar here to the way I did about the first issue. Carratù delivers some nice art, and Wong writes a story that's interesting enough for me to keep reading. That said, I do feel as though this could be something a bit more. I'm really into the aspect of Kwannon's struggle with feeling like only a weapon. However, the rest of the actual plot just doesn't keep me as engaged. I do hope that changes soon, though, as I like the creative team here and Psylocke is a character full of potential for a good solo run.
