The stars of the hit [adult swim] show continue their first epic comic book adventure in Part Two of "The Wubba Lubba Dub Dub of Wall Street"! Trapped in a winding labyrinth of Rick's own design, Morty desperately searches for an escape as Rick desperately searches for his hidden cache of booze. Meanwhile, the rest of the family tries to figure out what to do with Morty's now-vacant room, not to mention the weird alien Jerry accidentally released from Rick's lab.
Great book for fans of the show and more still with a surprisingly continuous storyline. Definitely a worthy read. Read Full Review
As a huge Rick and Morty fan, this issue was a disappointment. While the characters and art were spot on, we get setup and not much more. This issue boiled down to two good laughs a good cliffhanger and see ya next month. If that's enough for you, so be it, but for $3.99, I expect more. Read Full Review
If you're a fan of the series, I really don't see any reason to avoid this title. If you're a fan of comics in general and looking to branch out, I would honestly just recommend the television show first. I know it's not the best move for a reviewer to criticize a work for something thatIthink the creators ought to do. The criticism isn't any less valid, though: if I'm looking for reasons why people should give this comic a chance, I think it bears mentioning that you could get largely the same experience turning on your TV (assuming you already pay for cable) and watching this show, and that paying separately for this comic will just add a particular storyboard, and not a unique experience. I was really shocked to see that these comics were going to form an arc. This comic is slightly better than the last one as the dialogue is a little more reminiscent of the Adult Swim show. This arc doesn't appear to be moving very quickly either. I expected every story to be a separate adventure. The maze was a really cool idea.
Rick's got that tough exterior, but inside beats a heart of gold.
