Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer #4 was a fantastic conclusion to this companion book, reiterating the need for it's spot in any Valiant fans collection. As despite it's 1:10 print run making it hard to get, as a whole it compliments the main series beautifully. Read Full Review
Much to my surprise this series has delivered a genuinely compelling finale with issue four, an instalment which brings this story full circle with a very satisfying conclusion indeed. While I'm not sure that I could recommend this series as a whole because I do feel it lagged at points, this issue is undeniably strong and so perhaps worth seeking out on its own if you're interested in learning more about the origins of Valiant's Geomancers. Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer #4 solidifies Anni's role as the start of the Geomancers but does a disservice to her by skipping over her major feats and solely focusing on her preparing for the future. And Padda's transformation and portrayal isn't elaborated on so he feels like a random enemy. However, this issue does a great job in showing the 3 brothers in their youth and explaining Gilad's selection as protector of future Geomancers. And Anni's legend overall is still as intriguing as ever. She's definitely set the bar high for all Geomancers. Read Full Review
