This is my first experience of Harris' writing and based on this story alone it's a name I will be keeping an eye out for, and as for Cafu I look forward to seeing his work continue to grow. Read Full Review
This is a very strange place to start reading X-O Manowar, but that didn't stop me from still being to comprehend the sequence of events and enjoy my time reading Aric: Son of the Revolution. It is a welcome addition to what is already an incredibly entertaining story arc and definitely leaves me wanting more. Bring on more Stalinverse! Read Full Review
I have loved every book associated with the Stalinverse so far; Aric is no different. Though slower than the Bloodshot one off we got, this issue still serves a purpose and shows how the ultimate weapon became loyal to the red cause. Harris and Cafu create a memorable entry into the Stalinverse, as we march on to see who stands a chance against the soviet superpower. Read Full Review
For X-O fans this is bordering on a must-read comic, for those reading the main series, you'll want to check this out for the moment mentioned above, and for the rest of you? Well, that's on you. This is a well written, wonderfully illustrated one-shot comic from one of the most exciting publishers around right now. Read Full Review
Divinity III has been a fantastic event so far and this additional one-shot really helps put another piece to the puzzle. Aric on his own is interesting, but setting him down in this Soviet run world really puts an interesting spin on him.Aric, Son of the Revolutionis awesome and can certainly be a great way to dip your toe into this event and the Valiant Universe as a whole. It's one comic that can open up an entire new universe to you, so get out and pick this up. You won't be sorry. Read Full Review
Ultimately, its not a bad comic, but neither is it particularly compelling. Id rather read about Komerad Bloodshot. Read Full Review
I would give this book a hard pass if I were you. It's a formula that should have produced interesting and fun results, but it's anything but that. It has made me incredibly leery of the other one-shots and lessened my interest in Divinity III. Bottom-line, the worst case scenario happened for me. Read Full Review
I enjoyed this one-shot "Divinity III" tie-in, featuring X-O Manowar and Kostiy's Soviet-world origins...another interesting glimpse into the Stalinverse.
Interesting. I'm sure it would be much better if I read the Divinity books.
