Hopefully a copy of the X-O Manowar FCBD Special was readily available on Free Comic Book Day. Jam-packed with excellent stories and art, this book offers a peek into Valiants thoughtful and exceptionally executed universe. Read Full Review
Everything in this free book looks amazing so despite its cheap price tag all creators involved still appear to have put some hard earned blood sweat and tears into their work here, so you're getting several high quality featurettes. If you're a fan of X-O or just interested in getting a better taste of the Valiant universe as a whole do yourself a favor sneak out Saturday and pick this lil' guy up. Read Full Review
There's a lot to like in this issue. The two exclusive stories are great, and definitely worth the effort (and the price is certainly right). My only negative comment would be there's not too much that was new, per say. The Bloodshot story had been previewed online, perhaps in its entirety, as had Secret Weapons. The teaser ads were for books that had already been announced (Eternity, Quantum & Woody, and arguably Psi-Lords). Admittedly I was glad to see Psi-Lords get a vague release date, even if it's unclear whether it will drop before the end of the year. The new things for me were the X-O story, and also the large drawing by David LaFuente featuring a slew of Valiant characters, which was awesome. For people that don't follow Valiant news online, this is probably all brand new, and it's certainly eye-catching and well written. Read Full Review
Italia-poche pagine, ma significative se si conosce la storia di Aric. Aric di Terra.
The X-O Manowar story is very good considering how few pages it was able to convey a compelling story in. The Bloodshot story is good too, I think it is also prequel material. I already like the pigeon girl in the Secret Weapons #1 preview, but I'm not sure I want another team thrown together.
Over all a decent FCBD issue, i purchased this for the XO story which was a quick little prequel of sorts to issue #1. While good just not a whole lot offered in 5 pages they devoted to the XO portion. There are also sneak peaks into the Secret Weapons and Bloodshot: Salvation books that are starting up soon. While good they are just ads little trailers if you will. I wish valiant would of gone the image route and given us a full XO book.
