We're moving into endgame with this story arc, and I'm excited to see how this story will end. That readers are genuinely concerned about the well-being of three immortal characters is a testament to Fred Van Lente's writing prowess. There are also several sequences that enable Francis Portella's expressive art to shine brightly. Based on the overall quality of this series' first six issues, comic creators should attempt to break history more often. Read Full Review
This issue of Ivar, Timewalker keeps the story moving with vibrant characters, humorous dialog, and suspenseful action. It's hard to predict what's going to happen next, but the story's been such a wild ride so far you can bet that what's coming next will be absolutely mad. The Anni-Padda brothers may be immortal, but surviving this still won't be easy. Read Full Review
Ivar, Timewalker #6is a fun issue that makes the overall situation more intriguing with Neela's discovery and subsequent reaction. It's good that this issue capitalized on having 2 Neelas together and not just in terms of the banter but the interesting questions that are raised here. Gilad and Armstrong aren't particularly useful this issue and I'm hoping next issue the setup pays off. This issue doesn't reveal Ivar's hand, and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here. Read Full Review
Ivar, Timewalker is an absolute blast and this issue more than capably continues this books mission statement of having fun first and foremost, while still managing to successfully craft well-rounded characters on a search for what it means to take control of your life. Neela is literally lying to herself and attempting to circumvent an event in her life that shes let define and motivate her, and now shes got three immortal brothers (one of whom hasnt been particularly honest with her either, by the way) hoping to rescue her from the edge of times end before she can do what has already been established can happen. Whoa, fate is srsly #craycray, amirite? With art that heightens the comedy and drama alike, Ivar, Timewalker #6 is yet another successful entry in a series that has yet to disappoint. Read Full Review
