The comic looks great, from top to bottom. I wasn't expecting to laugh during this comic, but there's an undeniable streak of humor throughout Savage #2 that never quite stays in its lane, swerving between slapstick, dark, and often the downright silly. It doesn't overpower the story, which is fantastic, but rather adds another layer of fun to an already enjoyable book. I love it. Read Full Review

Man, I really was excited about this series and the first issue was promising. But Savage #2 has toned down the hype for me. After his Moon Knight run I was not too excited about Bemis' writing, and it seems that he is falling back into what he did over at Marvel, a bit. But, I like what he did at the end of this issue. So, it does have me interested in issue #3. The first part of this issue was a slog to get through and a little eye-rolling at times. The art is really the savior for Savage #2. If not for the tremendous visuals from Nathan Stockman and Triona Farrell, I am not sure I would have made it through the first few pages. Read Full Review
SAVAGE #2, available from Valiant Entertainment on March 17th, 2021, keeps the action high but turns up the quippy banter to 11. This series has quickly turned into all tongue-in-cheek, all the time, so that might be right up your alley. Read Full Review
