The writing is superb. The art is amazing. The story is building well and the character interactions were powerful. A main threat is coming and there is a sense of urgency in the issue. There isn't a single waste of movement in this book" not in writing or art. And it truly gets you more excited for the war that Gilad is about to fight. Read Full Review

I really was surprised by just how much I enjoyed this issue. When I got to the end I was stunned to find it was over already. Just like the first issue it's over just as you're settling in for it to hit that next spectacle, but that will be what brings me back for the next issue. If you enjoyed the first issue, then know that Venditti and company stay the course and that course is really fucking good. Read Full Review

The more I read of Robert Venditti's work with Valiant comics the more I notice how he plants seeds of stories at the beginning of a run and then allows them to naturally develop as the story moves forward so that future events never feel forced. This has been made very apparent with his run on X-O Manowar, but I can see some of the seeds he's planting now in the early issues of this run and it makes me even more excited to follow this title and see where the ride takes us. Valiant has never steered away from the warrior aspect of Gilad Anni-Padda, but with this series it's Robert Venditti's focus on the eternal part of the title that proves most investing. Read Full Review

SUMMARYWrath of the Eternal Warrior #2 is a touching issue that sheds more light on Gilad's family and his past while detailing what he goes through every time he's resurrected. Many questions are answered pertaining to his family being with him in the afterlife and I believe there are some potential story lines there down the line. The generic horde still feels the same but the action is a little more intense and the main demon is slightly intriguing. I'm not sure if this story arc will just result in Gilad returning to Earth or if some elements in the afterlife will be explored further but I'm hoping next issue will give more clarification regarding the direction. However, I'm still enjoying this series so far. Read Full Review

If anything, the slow pacing here makes me even more interested in where this is all going, how much ass will eventually be kicked, and when Gilad is going to run out of bubblegum. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Martin Ferretti Dec 15, 2015

Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #2 continues the character-driven reimagining of Gilad and delivers a solid story with just enough reveals to satisfy the readers, while holding back enough to keep you wanting to come back for more. We have seen a shift over the last year to more character-driven books at Valiant and Wrath of the Eternal Warrior seems to continue this shift with a simple yet deeply layered exploration of a character we still know so little about. With solid narration, intriguing world building, and beautiful art, this is one book you should be adding to your pull list. Read Full Review

The Eternal Warrior continues his descent into the underworld, but he must decide if he wants to leave his family behind and return to the world of the living. This book is an improvement over the last issue with an engaging story and decent art. The story will leave you wanting more as the warrior's struggles are made clear to the reader. Pick this up if you're a fan or if the last issue left you wanting more. Read Full Review
