A skeleton, an apprentice mage, and an exiled princess walk into a bar... for another shift at Quests Aside, the local watering hole run by once legendary, now retired adventurer Barrow.
When the King privately explains that he plans to shut the place down, Barrow must find a way to hold onto his business and the family he's built around it.
It's always sunny in the realms!
For $4.99, this issue costs a bit more than the usual comic, but it's also longer at 27 pages of content. Mostly this is a character drama with characters talking, but with the nice cut-aways, a mix of character types, and a mystery worth investigating it's worth a look. Quests Aside hits a pleasurable groove of comedy and fantasy with a great cast of colorful characters. Read Full Review
Quests Aside #1 has many of the tropes we love, but also enough subversion of them that they seem fresh. The story that is being revealed is serious, even dark, so the humor plays an interesting counterpoint to that. Read Full Review
'Quests Aside' is an unexpected but delightful fantasy sitcom with so much humor and heart that it's hard to dislike the new series. The book reads pretty well as a whole and is really going to make something of itself as Gogou only grows more comfortable with the characters and settings over the run and takes more chances with them. The flashes of brilliance are already there. Read Full Review
