Get Your Comic On - Aaron Gillingham
May 20, 2026Four issues in, and Starks and co keep finding new ways to make Eddie one of the most stupidly arrogant but likeable protagonists in recent comics. This instalment wonderfully balances engaging character work with palpable tension, sharp dialogue, and a strong visual flair that has held this series together since day one. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
May 23, 2026This has been the most straightforward of the Vertigo books, with no real genre elements, but that hasn’t stopped it from being one of the most entertaining. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Frank Jarome
May 23, 2026End of Life #4 is the best issue of the series to date, telling an engrossing story and showing hidden depths in the Stallion men, while still having several hilarious moments. This title creeps a little further up my reading list every month. If the creative team keeps up this level of quality, I can see this book sticking around for a long time. Read Full Review

KPB Comics - Stan West
May 26, 2026End of Life #4 shows us the real George and Eddie. One’s a father willing to cover for a son he claims to hate, while the other intervenes to save friends despite asserting he couldn’t care less. They have big hearts, but they’d never admit it. This book is quickly blooming from a fun action-comedy into a story about familial bonds and the capability to change. I may have picked up this book for the stylized action, but I’m staying for the captivating evolution of Eddie and George. Read Full Review

This book hasn’t missed a beat, or a 10 rating, with this issue continuing the trend. We go from a taut suspense-thriller of a scene to another comical assassin beatdown at—where else—the gas station. This issue packs an emotional wallop or two, while also continuing to deliver big laughs through the rapid-fire dialogue and dark humored-situations. There’s also a nod here to Tarantino in a “True Romance”-type of scene. On top of all the shenanigans, we also get a heart-wrenching cliffhanger.I can’t recommend this book enough.
This storytelling team continues to knock each issue out of the park. The little details in Pugh’s artwork enhance the story even further, and he makes every panel count here.

Bit of a step down from last week. George’s big exposition dump was kind of a slog and it didn’t really add a ton of new dimension to his character and I feel like a good chunk of the jokes didn’t really land this time around.
