VerdictSeriously, the best thing that House of Whispers could do is spend time with one story each month and then, make the switch to the next story in the final pages. Go with that for a month, end with a cliff hanger. We can handle it. I just feel constantly distracted. Characters matter. There are some good ones here, but because we don't really get to know them, we don't care much about the mortal danger and without that, this book just falls flat. Read Full Review

This book needs to abandon the Lady Erzulie cast and all the others, and just tell short stories. It has been doing that lately and the book benefits greatly, but let's go all the way with that concept. It could save a sinking book.
This see-saw series of good and bad issues improved on last month’s but still just feels bland. Something big needs to happen or some changes need to be made.
