The conclusion of the two-part "Tongues of Flame" storyarc! The last man on earth is searching for forgiveness from what remains of the Catholic Church, but a trinity of women will do whatever it takes to stop him. Plus, another figure from Yorick's past makes a surprise appearance.
Pia Guerra brings a nice sense of realism to this series that helps to sell the idea that Yorick is not the typical leading man, as the art does a wonderful job of capturing the character's sense of doubt when he's trying to decide if he's cheating on his girlfriend. The art also managed to perfectly capture the fear of the two underlings as Yorick puts the fear of god into them, and the art also does a nice job with the teaser image that momentarily convinces readers that Yorick's beloved Beth has met a bad end. I also loved the symbolism that is suggested by this issue's cover, and it's also makes for a powerful bit of imagery. Read Full Review
