Don't get me wrong, I love Tom King's work - but there was a little TOO much of the monosyllabic/abrupt sentence stuff at the beginning. The way he wrote it in the Rooftops and arc was believable, but I am not sure even Bat/Cat would speak the way they did in this issue. This was a huge let down after reading the recent I Am Bane story arch in Batman. This while thing felt like Bane could be replaced with anyone and the story would have been just as mediocre. I'd give it a pass for now in hopes that the next issues are better but it's not looking good.
