I notice that others do not take issue with the dialogue of this issue but I am personally finding Ziglar to be the worst writer of this Beyond project. Art was fine. I am enjoying the direction of this arc but the Ziglar issues are rough to get through. |

I am always on board with the decompressed style of storytelling, and I'm getting this vibe here. It's relatively new (to me) on an ASM book and I have all faith in Wells. Specific to the issue, I'm happy to see Norman back in the mix again and am waiting to see what role he'll play and the Tombstone stuff is fantastic in my opinion. Romita's art is always just fine to me. There's plenty of mystery going around. What happened to Peter before this volume? Why did MJ leave? What debt is Peter repaying to Norman? |

Waid and Mora just keep putting out banger after banger after banger. World's Finest is (has been) the best DC book on the shelves and it's not particularly close. Kingdom Come already being a tremendous story, David's run puts amazing perspective on it. I am no wordsmith so I won't try to articulate my review any further, but the run so far has been an adventure that will be worth returning to in trade. |

I did not know what to expect from this. I picked it up because it looked interesting and I love cyber punk themes, but the fact that this series revolved around some sort of sport kind of tempered my expected interest in it. Turns out, this issue left an impression on me, with the very concept around that sport being intriguing and the connection between the issue's opening events and the revelation towards the end made this memorable. The art style is my speed (along the lines of Fabok), and the dialogue felt natural. I'm absolutely going to pick it up again. |

Zahra continues to be portrayed as a believable and formidable foe to Rebel Alliance, and her tactical prowess leads me to believe that. We're even shown that (her diving a Star Destroyer then pulling up just to incinerate the ground fleet with its thrusters was amazing to me). I love her as a character in this aspect but I do not care for her eventually looking the fool in the end one way or another. The art is not bad but is too "plain" and stiff for me. We aren't seeing the last of her, which is nice. I just want to see her with the upper hand for a longer period of time. |
