If this is the direction of the latest story arc please don't let it end anytime soon. Abnett and Booth are delivering an intriguing team building story that feels important because the characters come off as realistic and genuine. At this rate, Titans might be my favorite superhero team book of 2017. Read Full Review

But thats fine. Its still a fun story, with a lot of good moments. And I have always had a soft spot for Bumblebee. Im old enough to remember her introduction to the Titans, when she just tossed together an outfit that allowed her to fly and shoot darts out of her bum, in order to show Mal that the Teen Titans didnt care about him. She was wrong then. And this time around, its Mal who has made the big mistake. Read Full Review

At the end of the day, the arts great and the story progresses so well that other than the forgetting certain characters in the general whole of the book, its still a very good book and I cant wait till one of my favorite villain teams comes back into the spotlight in issue 9. Oh snap did I say that? Read Full Review

Early on in Rebirth, Titans benefited from a nostalgia kick and simply getting the band back together. With this issue, Abnett and Booth suggest Titans is only to get better. I'd still prefer this book get on the bi-weekly schedule, but if the results remain this consistent, I'll have to be content with a quality monthly installment. Read Full Review

Titans #8 is a good read. I enjoyed the overall book, however you will definitely need to read the previous issues if you really want to understand exactly what the Titans are dealing with. Brett Booth does a great job with the art in this issue, bringing each to page life. Even the small, simple parts of conversation with the Titans are detailed and colorful"nothing is taken for granted. Thanks to the cliffhanger we have I'm now left wondering exactly how will the Titans react when they learn the truth about this kidnapping"if you can really call it that. Can't wait for the next issue! Read Full Review

All in all, I really enjoyed this first chapter of Titans' new arc and am super excited to see what Abnett and Booth have in store for the next couple of issues. The set-up was executed incredibly well and this strong groundwork will make the upcoming parts of this arc (hopefully) some of the best Titans action we've seen in recent times. Read Full Review

While low on action sequences Titans #8 more than makes up for it with strong character development for all of the Titans. Dan Abnett does a great job adding depth to the cast, with Donna Troy, Bumblebee and Harold getting the best character progression. The re-introduction of the Fearsome Five was also well handled as Abnett goes in an interesting direction with these established Titans villains. This all comes together to fully kickstart a new arc that will make fans of the Teen Titans franchise very happy. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Feb 11, 2017

That both arcs come together is no surprise and that we've got some hard times ahead for the group as a whole is a given. I'm not terribly familiar with Mal and Karen for the most part, seeing them from the Young Justice TV series more than anything else, and I find Mal to be a bit frustrating to deal with. Karen's providing for some interesting material to work with just like there's a lot to dig into with Wally. I'm enjoying the cast as a whole and especially the return to the Tower as there's a lot of places it can go all while dealing with some of the bigger story pieces of the Rebirth world as well. And it doesn't hurt that the main art team returns after a mild breather as everything just looks fantastic and dynamic here once again. Read Full Review

This is another strong chapter from Dan Abnett and Brett Booth, albeit, the finer moments are subtle ones. My opinion is that there needs to be peaks and valleys, as well as a change in tempo and pace to create a successful story overall. That's what this chapter does. Abnett is on a roll at the moment, and the momentum is easily in his favor! I'm hoping he continues that trend for many, many months! Read Full Review

The first arc of Titans had such a heavy focus on Wally West, that it didn't really feel like a team book all of the time, but if this issue is any indication, it appears that Dan Abnett will be able to provide a well-balanced dynamic moving forward. Read Full Review

While we do get more of heroes who were featured in Titans Hunt here, overall I found this issue a little boring because there really wasn't anything for our Titans to do.  The art was great as always and we did get a pretty decent cliffhanger, but besides for that, there really isn't much going on in this issue that I found all that interesting. Titans #8 isn't a bad comic and it's a good starting point for new readers who are curious about the series. Unfortunately, this issue isn't Brett Booth's best outing and Dan Abnett's character scenes are starting to get a little repetitive for the long-time readers. A little more variety in the conversation and a little more consistency in the artwork would do this series some good. Read Full Review

The strongest moments are the small ones showing the Titans getting acclimated to their new base of operations. Not only do these scenes connect with the reader, but it also happens to contain the strongest art in the issue. If Titans is at its best when its the team just hanging out and dealing with their own problems, perhaps the creative team should make that the book's focus rather than mindless, busy action.
