In our last issue, a disastrous date causes Sabrina to curse Jughead and take her revenge! Guess what? In this issue, this is still a thing! The mysterious Sabrina reveals what her entire deal is! And let's say the not-at-all mysterious Jughead reveals something too! (It's whether or not he still likes burgers) (he does) Conflict! Burgers! Jokes! All mixed together in a recipe so delightful that we could only call it "Conflict Burger Jokes #1"!! Never mind, I just got word we're calling it "Jughead #11." That works, too.
Do yourself a favor and pick up Jughead #11. If you have been curious about the new Archie universe, its a great place to start. Its also a great book for people just getting into comics. Its funny, modern, and accessible. Grab a hamburger and sit down to read it. Read Full Review
(Editor's note: At this point Josh was forced away from his computer and his credit card hidden in a safe place. We at Fandom Post believe his lapse of judgment came from too many late hours and a diet consisting mostly of coffee and Gummi Bears. We all wish for a speedy recovery.) Read Full Review
North and Charm close out this arc of 'Jughead' with probably the best heartfelt teen comedy you won't find at the movies. There's plenty of wild laughs but it's the organic chemistry between Jughead and Sabrina in the end that makes this issue an absolute winner. Read Full Review
While not exactly the all-out magic fest that readers may have been expecting, Jughead #11 is still an emotionally affecting and chuckle inducting finale to Sabrina's long-awaited debut in New Riverdale. Read Full Review
It's in the back half of the issue that North really pulls things together, the heartfelt exchange between Jughead and Sabrina doing wonders for both characters. Not only does he turn in perhaps the most fully formed and self aware version of Jughead yet, but his Sabrina too reads as layered and well realized - their pairing is surprisingly organic and one easy to enjoy. While letterer's don't usually get much recognition for what they do, Jack Morelli really sells the Sabrina cut and paste spell joke well. I loved the old-school labels. It helps make the book such an enjoyable read. Read Full Review
As much as I loved this issue and Jughead's newfound friendship with Sabrina, I kind of wish the two had become an item. Yeah, it would have taken some getting used to, seeing as Jughead has never dated anyone, but they were cute. Even their pets balance out! Hot Dog and Salem are just as awesome as Jughead and Sabrina. In any case, I hope we see more of Sabrina, even though she's essentially out of the bulk of Jughead's life. I am, however, super glad that she was brought to the series in the first place. The Archie universe is doing well as a whole, and I couldn't recommend these newer books more. This issue just came out today, so head over to your local comic book shop and give it a read. Read Full Review
This is the best series in the new 'Archie-verse'. The writing is excellent and the current artwork really works. I hope the artist sticks around.
Another well written issue from Ryan North. It sucks that this book is tanking so badly (the worst selling of all the Archie reboots so far). I can understand the bad sales on the Archie main title reboot, which isn't very good, but the Jughead title doesn't deserve that. If you've been meaning to buy this book but haven't gotten around to it, hurry up, because at this rate it won't be around long.
Doesn't reach the heights of the last two issues, but very solid
